Natural Attraction

What makes bulbs fill the environment with such a charged type of energy? Is it the enticing fragrance, the vibrant colors, or the luscious taste of the bulbs, stems and flowers? Perhaps all of the above attracts humans and animals of all types to share in creating the electric vitality that dominates the springtime emergence of bulbs. I wanted to create, through sculpture, a space for visitors to photographically capture their love of bulbs, as well as demonstrate the excitement of creatures coming alive with the electricity that bulbs produce.
